The region's
creative scene,
in one room
Cumbria has filmmakers, photographers, musicians, designers and makers scattered across it. We are using the studio to get them in the same place regularly.
What's on
Creative Cumbria Meetup with Nadia Jaynes
A free evening for creatives across Cumbria, this time with Cumbrian producer Nadia Jaynes (Marcella, The Responder, Madfabulous) in conversation at the studio. Filmmakers, photographers, musicians, writers, designers, animators, podcasters and makers are all welcome.
Expect Nadia in conversation with time for your questions, networking, and an informal pitch session where anyone can take a couple of minutes to tell the room about a project they need help with, or a skill they want people to know about.
Food and drink are on us.

Producer
Nadia Jaynes
Our 29 October meetup brings Cumbrian producer Nadia Jaynes, founder of Little Monk Pictures, to the studio for an in-conversation about her career and what it takes to get film and television made.
Nadia has more than 25 years of experience across feature films, high-end TV drama, children’s television, comedy, documentary and structured reality. Before founding Little Monk Pictures she spent seven years at Buccaneer Media as Head of Production and Executive Producer, exec producing three series of Marcella for Netflix and ITV, and Whitstable Pearl for Acorn.
Her recent credits include Shy & Lola for Clerkenwell Films, Big Mood for Channel 4 starring Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West, The Responder starring Martin Freeman, Sherwood, and the feature film Madfabulous starring Callum Scott Howells, Ruby Stokes and Rupert Everett, which has been nominated for six BAFTAs.
Little Monk Pictures is a female-led production company based in Manchester. Founded in 2019 and named in Pact’s Future30 in 2021, it makes drama, comedy, documentary and commercial content, and champions diverse talent and under-represented stories both on and off screen.
Born and raised in Egremont, Nadia is passionate about growing the film and television industry in West Cumbria. Bring your questions.
